The open geodata portal of Austria (www.geoland.at) includes “Culture” as one of its 10 main themes. Also, the INSPIRE geoportal of Austria (www.inspire.gv.at) includes several cultural heritage data sets that are allocated to the INSPIRE Theme I-9 “Protected sites”. Current situation: a) all levels of implementation, from local to national, b) GIS technology included within the national information infrastructure, c) GIS applications publicly available, d) main fields of application: heritage management, archaeology, historic monuments conservation, e) special mention: Kulturgut application in Vienna (www.wien.gv.at/kultur/kulturgut/index.html). |
