The General Directorate of Cultural Heritage created two spatial datasets: archaeological heritage and architectural heritage. The access to these datasets is restricted to authorized professionals, while both can be visualized using the national geoportal (www.igeo.pt). Current situation: a) all levels of implementation, from local to national, b) GIS technology included within the national information infrastructure, c) GIS applications publicly available, d) main fields of application: heritage management, archaeology, architecture, painting conservation, spatial data infrastructure, 3D modelling, landscape reconstruction. |
