The cultural heritage spatial database developed by the National Institute for Heritage (patrimoniu.ro/monumente-istorice/egispat) is discoverable from the Romanian INSPIRE geoportal. Several other GIS implementations and projects have been achieved, such as Cartographic Server for National Cultural Heritage (map.cimec.ro/Mapserver) or Stone-made Commemorative Crosses project (monumentelarascruce.ro/harta). Current situation: a) all levels of implementation, from local to national, b) GIS technology included within the national information infrastructure, c) GIS applications publicly available, d) main fields of application: heritage management, archaeology, historic monuments, monument information systems. |
