The Abu Dhabi geospatial  portal (geoportal.abudhabi.ae) includes the cultural heritage layer, consisting  of archaeological sites, historic buildings and fossil sites. There are several  GIS applications in cultural heritage including condition mapping and heritage  conservation. Current situation: a) implementation level: local and national, b) GIS  technology included within the national information infrastructure, c) GIS  applications publicly available, d) main fields of application: heritage  management, archaeology, condition mapping, conservation.  |
