Departamentul de Antichităţi furnizează pe propriul website informaţie geo-referenţiată amplă cu privire la patrimoniul cultural al Ciprului şi, în acelaşi timp, sprijină proiectul intitulat Biserici Byzantine din Cipru în Patrimoniul Mondial al căruin website include de asemenea date geo-referenţiate relevante (www.byzantinecyprus.com/byzantine-churches.html).Situaţia actuală: a) toate nivelurile de implementare, de la local la naţional, b) tehnologia GIS este inclusă în cadrul infrastructurii informatice naţionale, c) există aplicaţii GIS publice, d) domenii de aplicare principale: administrarea patrimoniului, arheologie, conservarea monumentelor istorice, o menţiune specială trebuie făcută pentru sistemele informaţionale la nivel de monument istoric, în principal dedicate obiectivelor incluse în Patrimoniul Mondial.
