UTILIZAREA TEHNOLOGIEI GIS PENTRU PATRIMONIUL CULTURAL

Institutul Patrimoniului Cultural din Spania (Cultural Heritage Institute of Spain) a dezvoltat un geoportal (ipce.gvsigonline.com) care este actualmente orientat pe prevenirea deteriorării patrimoniului prin publicarea unei serii de straturi tematice care descriu indicii riscului de deteriorare influenţată de factori meteorologici cum sunt umiditatea şi temperatura. Există o multitudine de aplicaţii şi proiecte GIS în domeniul patrimoniului cultural implementate în toată ţara. Situaţia actuală: a) toate nivelurile de implementare, de la local la national, b) tehnologia GIS este inclusă în cadrul infrastructurii informatice naţionale, c) există aplicaţii GIS publice, d) domenii de aplicare principale: administrarea patrimoniului, arheologie, evaluarea riscului.
