Portalul geospaţial naţional GeoPlatform.gov, furnizează mai multe seturi de date referitoare la patrimoniul cultural. La nivel naţional se constată că sunt deja implementate multe aplicaţii GIS pentru patrimoniul cultural. Prima implementare operaţională a bine-cunoscutului sistem software ARCHES, din categoria open-source GIS, dezvoltat de Getty Conservation Institute în cooperare cu World Monuments Fund (Jan, 2018), (Myers et al, 2016) s-a petrecut în Los Angeles. Situaţia actuală: a) toate nivelurile de implementare, de la local la national, b) tehnologia GIS este inclusă în cadrul infrastructurii informatice naţionale, c) există aplicaţii GIS publice, d) domenii de aplicare principale: administrarea resurselor patrimoniului cultural, inventare, arheologie, monumente şi situri istorice, conservare, managementul riscului. |
